ESA001: Error Message 'Operation must use updateable query'

Symptoms

When opening the Administration section in a web browser for the first time during installation and setup, the following error message is displayed:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

Cause

The database file (easyquizz.mdb) does not have Write permission.

Resolution

Apply read/write permission for the database 'easyquizz.mdb' (located in the 'admin/dbase' sub-folder).
