ESA002: Opening any web page brings up a file download dialog

Symptoms

When using a web browser to open a web page in easyt Survey and Assessment, a file download dialog is displayed (instead of displaying the .asp file in the browser).

Cause

Active Server Pages (ASP) is not functional for one of the following reasons:

1. The web page is being opened using a file path instead of a URL (ie http://)
2. ASP is not enabled or available on the web server

Resolution

1. Be sure the web page is opened using a URL (ie http://)
2. Contact your web server technical support staff for advice on the availability of ASP.
