Resource Exchange V1.27 SPECIAL UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS (for all versions to V1.26) * Resource Exchange V1.27 upgrade is a complete installation (ie not a patch) * Print these instructions for reference whilst installing V1.27 upgrade * Follow the respective instructions below for: A. Internet download, CD single user installation; or B. CD Network Client installation. A. Internet download, CD single user installation: *** WARNING - EXISTING DATA WILL BE LOST IF NOT BACKED UP BEFOREHAND *** 1. Using Windows Explorer, move the data files to a new temporary location. The standard location for exchange and zip codes data files is: C:\Program Files\Resource Exchange\Data 2. Uninstall the existing Resource Exchange 3. Install Resource Exchange V1.27 4. Start Resource Exchange, then click on the menu item 'Remove Sample Data' (this will prevent accidental loss of data in the future by removing the 'Remove Sample Data' menu item) 5. Exit Resource Exchange and when prompted to backup data, click on the 'Cancel' button 6. Using Windows Explorer, move the files (from step 1) back to the location: C:\Program Files\Resource Exchange\Data Notes: Moving the files will replace those shipped with V1.26 installation B. CD Network Client installation: *** THESE INSTRUCTIONS PRESUME DATA FILES ARE STORED ON A REMOTE NETWORK DRIVE *** *** IF NOT, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE FOR CD SINGLE USER INSTALLATION *** 1. Uninstall the existing Resource Exchange 2. Install Resource Exchange V1.27 3. Start Resource Exchange, then click on the menu item 'Remove Sample Data' (this will prevent accidental loss of data in the future by removing the 'Remove Sample Data' menu item) 4. Exit Resource Exchange and when prompted to backup data, click on the 'Cancel' button 5. Using Windows Explorer, delete the data files The standard location for exchange and zip codes data files is: C:\Program Files\Resource Exchange\Data 6. Start Resource Exchange and when prompted, locate each data file on your network. The data file names are 'exchange_be.mdb' (exchange data) and 'zip_codes.mdb' (zip codes)
