Enter a keyword on your topic of interest. The keyword can be a site name, category, suburb or part thereof.
Search results include matching categories, sub categories and sites. TIPS:
The shorter the keyword the better for picking up relevant sites eg Training, Hotels.
If the search results return no match, try a different search term or
click on a relevant listed category or sub-category.
Searching for information around Australia
Click on ozSearch for a selection of Australian search engines and indexes.
Enter keywords for your topic of interest in the first search engine then press enter.
TIP: if what your looking for isn't found in the first one or two screens, go back to ozSearch and try again with the next search engine.
Searching for information around the World
Click on netSearch for the 'popup' search satellite. Enter your search term and selection of search engine then press enter. Results are displayed in the underlying browser window.
PC TIP: if you loose the satellite and wish to try another search, press the ALT and TAB buttons together to bring the satellite back to the top of your desktop.
Using the newsgroups discussion list
Go to newsgroups and enter your topic of interest to search the thousands of newsgroups that range from Activism to Zen.
Follow the instructions to respond to other people either directly or to the entire group, or, to add your own message in stimulating discussion.
Adding Illawarra Link Master as a bookmark on your web browser
Netscape browser
Select Bookmarks|Add Bookmark on your browser menu. Internet Explorer
Select Favorites|Add to Favorites on your browser menu.
Setting Illawarra Link Master as your home page
Netscape web browser
Select Options|General Preferences on your browser menu.
Select the Appearance tab.
Cut and paste the following code into the Browser Starts With field.

Finally, click on OK
Internet Explorer web browser
Go back the Illawarra Link Master home page.
Select View|Options on your browser menu.
Select the Navigation tab.
Click on the Use Current button then the Apply button.
Adding a site found in the Link Master to your bookmarks
For PCs
Click on the window frame you wish to bookmark.
Right click and hold down the mouse button to bring up the popup menu.
Select the Add Bookmark menu item. For MACs
Click on the window frame you wish to bookmark.
Click and hold down the mouse button to bring up the popup menu.
Select the Add Bookmark menu item.
